RE: Antenna on Tower Street Water Tower
Dear Mr. Ash:
This letter is a response to a fax the City received from you on March 17, 1997. Any
commercial or industrial projects, not being approved by the City Council (by means of a
Conditional Use Permit) are considered as part of an internal Site Plan Review. The site
plan review is coordinated by the Planning Department and is a process through which an
applicant receives development plan approval for permitted uses prior to the application
of a building permit. The fee for this review is $350.00. (Please note: The process of Site Plan
Review is separate from Building Permit application and review).
Enclosed is an application which must be submitted with the current fee. Additionally,
relating to the information you sent over for preliminary review, the city will need the
following to conduct a Site Plan Review with our internal Development Review
Committee (DRC):
· A survey of the property, indicating existing structures;
· A survey/site plan indicating proposed structures/improvements (including
elevations with proposed building materials);
· Specifications for cables such as where and how they are going to be fastened,
and how much space is needed for the cables;
· 5 copies of full size plans and one reduction of 11x17 for distribution to DRC.
Once the city has received a formal application with the necessary information, then the
item will be placed on an agenda for a DRC meeting (every Thursday). The DRC
consists of representatives from every department including engineering, planning,
building, parks, finance, and administration. Upon review, you will be advised of any

Dear Mr. Ash:
This letter is to inform you that the Planning Department is closing your file relating to
antenna on the Tower Street water tower. On March 17, 1997 we received information
relating to the proposed antenna on the water tower. The information received was not in
the form of a formal site plan application. On March 25, 1997 and April 11, 1997 a letter
was sent informing you of the requirements and procedure for site plan review. We have
not received any response/application from you. We are therefore considering the matter
to be closed. If in the future, you wish to apply for site plan approval, please contact me.
