All of the permits expire on June 30 of each year. Attached is a list of the seven haulers who have requested renewal of their refuse hauler permits. The Issues The Prior Lake Police Department has investigated all applicants and found no reason to deny any of the applicant's renewal requests. There have been no complaints reported for any of the applicants. All applicants have provided the City with renewal fees, insurance and bonding information. The City Council has the following alternatives: 1. Adopt a motion as part ofthe consent agenda approving the renewal of refuse hauler permits for 2003-2004. 2. Remove this item from the consent agenda for further discussion. 3. Deny the renewals. Refuse haulers are charged $125.00 for the first truck and $25.00 for each additional truck. All of the licenses expire on June 30 of each year. Attached is a list of the establishments requesting renewal of their liquor licenses. The Issues The Prior Lake Police Department has completed a background check for each of the licensees and has reported that no license violations occurred in the past year. All applicants have provided the City with renewal applications, fees and proof of liquor liability insurance. Prior Lake City Ordinance 301.600 states that no license shall be granted for operation on any premises on which taxes, assessments or other financial claims of the city are delinquent or unpaid. The Scott County Treasurer's records show that all property taxes for all renewal applicants are current. ALTERNATIVES: The City Council has the following alternatives: 1. Adopt a resolution as part of the consent agenda approving the renewal of the liquor licenses listed on Exhibit A for 2003- 2004 . 2. Remove this item from the consent agenda for further discussion. 3.
