He was able to reach agreement at $21,641.00. Bill believes that the negotiations were reasonably concluded for both parties. The role of the owner's representative was very important to the completion of this building project. The degree of complexity of a project of this size necessitates this type of expertise representing the City. According to Bill, the change orders on a project of this magnitude are typically 3% - 4%. The change orders for this project have been 2% and we are $73,335 under budget. The total project budget including interest was $14,427,467. When change order #7 is paid, the remaining balance in the project account is $73,335. 1. This is the final change order for the project. Historv The Prior Lake Police Station I City Hall construction project was initiated in 2005. In 2006 we occupied both buildings. Since taking possession of the buildings, our Owner's Representative Bill Wolters has been working with Shaw Lundquist, the general contractor, and Wold Architects to close out the project from a financial perspective. Current Circumstances Change order #7 included both additions and subtractions from the contract amount. The single largest addition is for a revision to the structural framing for the penthouse (roof top equipment access) for +$9,077. This change order was created because revised framing was needed to achieve the desired architectural look while assuring structural integrity. The single largest subtraction is credit for overestimated amounts of contaminated soil removal for -$10,293. This is simply a variance between estimated and actual soil removal.
