Dear Mary Sue,
On June 22, 1998 the Planning Department received an application for a sign permit to
relocate the "Prior Lake Travel" sign to property located at 14198 Commerce Avenue
(Edina Realty Office Building). The application is being denied for the following
reasons:
. Offpremise or Advertising signs are not permitted within the city. Your office is
located at 14180 Commerce Avenue, the property of the sign is located at 14190
Commerce Avenue.
I am enclosing your sign permit application as submitted. You can place a sign on the
property your office is located. A sign permit with revised site plan indicating the
proposed location of the sign will be required. Should you choose to do this, the required
setback is 10 feet from the property line. If you have any questions, please call me at
447-4230.
