Dear Ms. Tovar:
This letter is to certify that Gold Nugget Development, Inc. has abided by the City of Prior Lake's
Tree Preservation and Reforestation Ordinance on Lot 7, Block 2, Knob Hill. During a site visit
on November 1 st , 1999, all the replacement trees designated to be planted on the Preliminary Tree
Certification (8-4-97) were observed on the lot, and are in good health. They have survived one
full growing season and show very good vegetative bud development for next year.
Any security deposits that are being held can be released at this time to the developer. Future
development on this lot should not have any affect on the replacement trees.

Dear Horst:
City staff has reviewed the grading plan and tree preservation plan for the subject lot and
have the following comments:
1. When raising the curb box, use threaded pipe couplings with the same inside diameter
on the pipe. Use a threaded cap (no sleeves).
2. Place silt fence check dams every 25 feet inside of and abutting the perimeter silt
fence.
3. Additional erosion control. measures are necessary along the east property line which
drains to the lake. There is currently a swale in this location and it appears that a
majority of the drainage on the site will flow to this swale when the proposed grading
is completed.
4. Address the items on the attached memo from Jane Kansier, Planning Coordinator,
dated August 19, 1997.
5. Silt fence is to be installed arid inspected by City staff prior to any site disturbance.
These comments must be addressed prior to City approval of the grading permit. If you
have additional questions, please call me.

We have reviewed the Tree Preservation and Reforestation Plan submitted with the
grading permit application for Lot 7, Block 2, Knob Hill. We have the following
comments:
· A $500.00 cash escrow to guarantee the tree preservation and reforestation must be
provided prior to the issuance of the grading permit. This escrow will he released one
year after the reforestation is completed.
· The silt fence on the south end of the lot should be placed beyond the drip lines of the
nearby trees.
