RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT FOUR CITY PARKS.

WHEREAS, The estimated cost to construct the play structures in the four parks identified is $130,000;
and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of playground equipment at four
City parks which was approved by the Council at the December 2, 2002 meeting; and
WHEREAS, The following bids complying with the advertisement were received, opened, and tabulated
according to the law:

Webber Recreational Design, Inc. $93,926.00
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that Flanagan Sales of St. Paul, Minnesota is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA, that:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with Flanagan Sales of St. Paul,
Minnesota in the name of the City of Prior Lake for the installation of playground equipment at four City
parks.
3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bid
once the contracts have been signed.
4. Staff is authorized to purchase sand, and landscaping material, and to contract for the installation of
concrete curb and gutter at the four sites per the City's purchasing policy in an amount not to exceed
$44,500.
5. The funding for the playground equipment, concrete curb and gutter, and landscaping materials shall come
from the Capital Park Fund.
