Dear Mr. Richardson:
The Engineering and Planning Departments have approved the subject permit application for
construction of boulder walls and walkway with the following conditions:
1. Heavy duty silt fence must be installed and inspected by City staff prior to any land
disturbing activity. Call Walter Ehresmann in the Engineering Department at 447-
9837 to arrange the inspection.
2. No material is to imported/exported from the bluff. The existing soils may be
moved within the bluff to allow for lake access.
3. The proposed platform must be no more than 30" above grade measured 5 feet form
the perimeter. If the platform is to be impervious (brick or patio stone) a revised
impervious suiface worksheet is to be submitted prior to release of the escrow.
4. In addition to the $50.00 application fee, a $500 tree preservation deposit is required.
No trees are to be removed from the site. Brush and weeds can be removed. Any
other vegetation (trees) removed must be replaced on the lot with an equal amount of
caliper inches.
5. Your contractor must submit a certificate of liability insurance.
6. . All boulder walls must be four feet or less in height as measured from the grade.
7. When all of the work is completed, call the Engineering Department for a final
inspection. Your deposit will be returned when all of the terms of the permit have
been met.
