Regards: Building Permit for Canopies
Bob,
Here is the application for a building permit to add (3) all steel canopy roofs to entries on
Bluff Heights Apartments. I have included (2) sets of plans (mostly structural drawings) I
have indicated on the footing plans from the original set where these roofs will be added
to the building. These canopies will be all steel from the columns to the roofing. There
will be no other materials used except for some caulking to seal them to the building.
Large canopy
This canopy will have (4) columns that will support all the weight it will only be
connected to the building with flashing.
Small canopies
These canopies will have (2) columns that support the outer side of them the inside as
indicated in the drawings will be lagged to the existing building and then flashed.
