Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 June 18, 2008 Mark and Colleen Christ 3349 Sycamore Street Prior Lake, MN 55372 RE: Fence Located in Utility Easement at 3349 Sycamore Street Dear Mr. and Mrs. Christ: The City of Prior Lake recently issued a permit for the replacement of a portion of your existing fence on the property located at 3349 Sycamore Street. As you know, we have reason to believe some of this fence is located within an existing utility easement. A copy of the recorded easement is attached for your information. There is also a sanitary sewer line located within this easement. Although the City has no immediate plans to work on this line, at some point in the future, it may be necessary to utilize the easement to gain access to the sewer line. In that event, the City will remove all encroachments in the easement. Please be advised the City is not responsible for the cost of replacing or repairing these encroachments. The City will provide you with as much advance notice as possible of any scheduled repair or maintenance. I hope this information is helpful.
