Historv This agenda item is part of the continuing process of Lift Station Rehabilitation which was initiated by the Council's approval of a Standardized Comprehensive Management and Rehabilitation Plan some years ago. Work to be completed is due to the age and condition of the lift stations. Work is prioritized based on need. Upon completion of this year's project, which includes four lift stations, the City will have finished the major standardization and rehabilitation of all lift stations for the Prior Lake community. The City currently operates and maintains 40 lift stations. Rehabilitation components and replacement parts will follow the City of Prior Lake's Lift Station Standardization Management and Rehabilitation Plan. Current Circumstances City staff will act as the general contractor and supply all components and replacement equipment based on the Lift Station Standardization process. City staff will also complete the improvements associated with removal and installation of standardized equipment, preparatory work, excavation and restoration for each lift station site. Standardization of lift stations is critical to the maintenance of sewer service to residents in the City. It allows for the inventory of critical components parts, better maintenance of lift stations and the ability to respond quicker to lift station emergencies. With the City as general contractor and completing the improvements, the City will save considerable money with this final improvement project. Staff has listed the lift stations and respective associated costs in the chart below which meet the Rehabilitation Standardization and Standardization Control Panel processes. www.cityofpnorlake.com Phone 952.447.9800 / Fax 952.447.4245 R\Council\2009 Agenda Reports\04 06 09\2009 lift station reconstruction project agenda.doc Lift Stations Control Panel/Electric Structure Hatches Improvement Pumps s $3,700 $1.696 $900 $18.548 Restoration Total Costs Lords St $29,878 Candy Cove $20,991 South Shore $12.000 Lakeside $12.000 Total Proiect Costs: $4.370 $3.600 $39.644 $44.039 $12.000 $12,000 $107,683 The total project cost is $107,683.
