A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PARK FEE STUDY,
~,DOPTING NEW PARK FEES AND DIRECTING THEIR INCORPORATION
INTO THE 2001 FEE SCHEDULE.

WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to assure that its Park Dedication policy is in accordance with state
statute and generates sufficient funds to acquire land and construct parks and trails
created by development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized Ingraham and Associates to complete the Park Fee Study;
and
WHEREAS, the study calculates the amount of land and construction required to provide parks and
trails to developing areas of the community; and
WHEREAS, the study proposes a residential and commercial industrial fee which is proportional to the
need for parks and trails created by new development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the proposed residential per unit fee of $1685 and
commercial / industrial fee of $3550 per acre is appropriate based upon the analysis set
forth in the Ingraham study.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA
that:
1. The recitals set forth above are included at this point as Findings of Fact.
2. The Park Fee Study prepared by Ingraham and Associates and dated February 5, 2001 is
hereby approved.
3. The per dwelling unit fee of $1685 per residential unit and $3550 per commercial / industrial
acre are hereby approved.
4. The staff is directed to incorporate these fees into the 2001 Fee Schedule to be effective
immediately for any development petition which has not yet been accepted by the City as
complete.
