DIMENSION LUMBER Dimension lumber shall be NO.2 preservative treated Southern Pine or equal for joists and beams. Spacing of bridging for joists shall not exceed 8'-0". All beams and joists not bearing on supporting members shall be framed with "Simpson Strong-Tie" joist hangers or equal. Wood joists shall bear the full width of supporting members (stud wall, beams, etc.) unless otherwise noted. Wood beams made of 2 or more 2x's shall be bolted together with 3/8" diameter through bolts at 2'-0" on center or equivalent spikes. Nailing to be in accordance with Table 2304.9.1 of the I.B.C.
