We have inspected the existing roofing on your townhome. The existing roofing
consists of one layer of CertainTeed Hallmark shingles. Les Jones Roofing will be
bidding on the tear-off of the area just above the front door. We propose to do the
following work.
SPECIFICATIONS
Area: Approximately 16 x 27
Tear Off
1. We will tear off the existing roofing on your roof section near the front door. All
debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
During the tear off process, debris may sift down through the roof boards.
Therefore, we highly recommend that you remove or cover any items that may
be stored in the attic area. We cannot be held liable (referring to the debris
sifting through) for any interior contents during this process.
Underlayments
1. New aluminum drip edge may be installed; to be determined on site. Drip edge
will match the fascia as close as possible.
2. New aluminum gutter apron may be installed; to be determrned on site.
3. Snow and ice barrier will be installed up the first six feet at the eaves.
4. If shingle tins are to be replaced, snow and Ice barrier will be installed three feet
wide at sidewalls (4" to 6" up the wall and 2 ft. onto the deck).
5. One layer of Shingle Mate will be installed over the remaining exposed roof area.
Vents
1. New plumbing vents will be installed to replace the existing.
We will replace the iron/metal sewer style plumbing vents with lead caps
2. We will remove and install a new heat base, cap collar and flange to replace the
existing. Note: The actual heat stack itself will not be removed or replaced.
3. New prefinished, bird-proof roof vents will be installed if needed. The color will
match the new shingles as close as possible.
4. New bathroom dampers may be installed; to be determined onsite.
Note: If the duct work is accessible from the roof, then we will connect the vent
to the duct work. If no, all duct work will need to be done by others.

Wall Line
1. New shIngle tins may be installed; to be determined on site. Shingle tins will be
re-used if the existing tins are installed correctly.
2. New galvanized, kick out tins will be instafled as needed; to be determined on-
site.
NOTE: Siding work or replacement will be done by others.
Gutters
Gutters will be reused.
1. We will re-install any gutter straps that may be needed.
2. Upon completion of the shIngle work, we will clean the gutters and downspouts.
Shingles
1. We will install new Hallmark shingles by Certain Teed.
2. New ridge cap will be installed as needed.
Warranty
Les Jones Roofing will Issue a 1 year watertight warranty for this roof section only.
. THERE WILL BE ADDED CHARGES TO REPLACE ANY ROTIED WOOD.
Notes:
. Customer will need to provide a source of electricity for our use.
. During the work the satellite dish may have to be moved to fadlitate the roofing
work. After our work is complete it may need to be recalibrated by others. This
cost will be the responsibllity of the property owner.
