STUDY OPTIONS
DISCUSSION:
Introduction
The purpose of this item is to present the options considered as part of
the CR 21/TH 13/Main Avenue/Feasibility Study to the City Council for
feedback and comment prior to finalizing the study.
Historv
The City has contracted with Bolton & Menk/Hoisington Koegler to pre-
pare a feasibility study regarding options and funding for the CR 21/Main
Ave/TH 13 improvements.
The City held community involvement meetings on May 21 and August
20 to discuss the issues related to this project and potential options as
part of the feasibility study. Between 15 and 20 interested business
owners attended each meeting.
Current Circumstances
Based on the public input received, a preferred option that lowers a seg-
ment of TH 13 and CR 21 to allow Main Avenue to bridge CR 21 was de-
veloped. Prior to completing the Feasibility Study for City Council review
and approval at a future meeting Staff believes Council input on the op-
tions considered and the preferred option should be received. Chris Chr-
omy of BMI and Bruce Chamberlain of HKGI are here tonight to provide
the City Council with a presentation on the options considered and to re-
ceive Council feedback.
