Introduction The purpose of this agenda item is to request Council approval of interview committee recommendations for appointments to the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee. History The bylaws of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee calls for three-year terms beginning on November 1 of the year of appointment. Current Circumstances In September we advertised for candidates to all the advisory bodies for which there were openings up to the maximum number of allowed members. Appointments to the Community Safety Advisory Committee, Communications and Technology Advisory Committee, Lakes Advisory Committee and Planning Commission were made at the October 19, 2009, Council Meeting. Interviews for the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee were conducted on October 21, 2009. For your information, the applications for all of the candidates are attached. Interview Committee . The interview committee recommends appointment of Ms. Rebholz to an initial two year term so there is some staggering of the three terms.
