HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-79 RESOLUTION 01-79 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MINOR AMENDMENT TO THE WENSMANN 1sT ADDITION PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT TO ALLOW PORCHES AND LARGER DECKS ON THE TOWNHOUSE UNITS MOTION BY: PETERSEN SECOND BY: GUNDLACH WHEREAS: the Prior Lake City Council considered the proposed minor amendment to the approved development plan for the Wensmann 1 ~ Addition on June 18, 2001; and WHEREAS: owners of property within the Wensmann 1'~ Addition PUD have been notified of the proposed minor amendment in accordance with Section 1106.607 (2) b of the Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS: the City Council finds the minor amendment to the Wensmann 1st Addition PUD consistent with certain elements of the Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning Ordinance, including the goal of providing a variety of affordable, high quality housing; and WHEREAS: the City Council finds the minor amendment is in harmony with both existing and proposed development in the area; and WHEREAS: the City Council finds the amendment would result in an opportunity to address the full range of the marketplace; and WHEREAS: the City Council finds the minor amendment is compatible with the stated purposes and intent of the Section 1105 Planned Unit Developments of the Zoning Ordinance in that it does not increase the approved density of the site; and WHEREAS: the City Council finds the proposed minor amendment adequately provides for internal organization, uses, circulation, public facilities, recreation areas and open space. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The Wensmann 1st Addition PUD Final Plan is amended to allow porches and larger decks to the townhouse units as shown on Exhibit A to this resolution. 3.
