At the meeting on March 18, there were not enough members to
take action on the items discussed. The purpose of this item
is to review and decide how the committee should proceed with
the following:
1. Approve minutes of the Februa~ 17, 1993 meeting.
2. McDonald property/abandoned ra1lroad peninsula.
3. Consider recommending that the City council support a bill
that some sportsman's clubs are trying to get introduced
into the legislature.
IV. INTRODUCE PROPOSED POLICY FOR COMMITTEE JOB DESCRIPTIONS,
ORIENTATION AND TRAINING
City Manager Frank Boyles has introduced a policy to city
staff that is currently being used in Plymouth. This policy
relates to the selection, performance and orientation of
persons appointed to boards, commissions and committees. The
purpose of this item is for Frank to introduce this document
to the committee, and to allow the members an opportunity to
comment on this proposed policy.
DISCUSS HOW THE NEW SHORELAND ORDINANCE AND EXISTING POLICIES
AFFECT ISLAND DEVELOPMENT.
V.
During the last meeting, a discussion was held on private
septic systems around Spring Lake and Twin Islands.
Rutherford was asked to prepare information on how the new
Shoreland Ordinance and other policies will affect this type
of activity around Prior Lake and spring Lake. The purpose of
this item is to review and discuss this information.
VI. PRIOR LAKE/SPRING LAKE WATERSHED PROJECT UPDATE
The Watershed District is currently working on various
projects, including the outlet for Prior Lake and the
eurasian milfoil project. District Manager Bill Dilks will
present information on the progress and status of these
projects.
