AGENDA ITEM: Consider Approval of Revisions to City Council Bylaws
DISCUSSION: Introduction
The purpose of this agenda item is to finalize amendments to the City
Council bylaws which were considered on January 3, 2011 at the City
Council's annual meeting.
Histo
The City Council bylaws provide that, among other things, the City
Council must review its bylaws annually at the first meeting of the year.
The City Council's Bylaws and Compensation subcommittee accom-
plished its review and made recommendations to the City Council. The
Council directed that finalization of certain desired revisions be made
and the matter be placed upon the January 18 Consent Agenda.
Current Circumstances
The City Attorney has reviewed the bylaws following the City Council's
review and has accepted all changes except those which the City Coun-
cil desired to revisit at this Council meeting.
Conclusion
The City Council should determine if all issues identified at the January
3 meeting have been addressed to the Council's satisfaction.

ALTERNATIVES: 1. Motion and second to adopt the final revisions to the City Council
bylaws as part of the consent agenda.
2. Remove the item from the Consent Agenda for further discussion.
RECOMMENDED Alternative #1.
MOTION:
