RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
LIBRARY/RESOURCE CENTER BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

WHEREAS, On February 25, 1997 the citizens of Prior Lake passed a referendum which included a
Library/Resource Center, and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the Library/Resource Center have been approved by the City
Council, and,
WHEREAS, the Parks and Library Referendum allocates funds for the construction of a new
Library/Resource Center, and,
WHEREAS, bids have been solicited and received for the construction of the Library/Resource Center -
building and construction and the following companies have submitted bids:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, hereby
awards bid to Fulco for construction of the Library/Resource Center at a cost not to exceed $1,960,300.00
with a project completion date of November 1, 1999; and,
FURTHER,
that funds for such construction of the building be drawn from the Parks
and Library Referendum Funds; and,
FURTHER,
The City Manager is hereby authorized to return bid securities submitted
with the proposals to the vendors following the execution of contracts;
and,
FURTHER,
The Mayor and the City Manager are authorized to execute the contracts
on behalf of the City.
