HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-118 RESOLUTION 99-118 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE ROAD EASEMENT LOCATED ON LOTS 1-4, BLOCK 4, KNOB HILL 2ND ADDITION BY: Schenck SECOND BY: Petersen WHEREAS, on September 20, 1999, the City Council adopted Resolution 99-94 initiating the vacation of a portion of the 16.5 roadway easement for Pike Lake Trail located on the following described property situated in the City of Prior Lake, Scott County, Minnesota to wit: Lots 1-4, Block 4, Knob Hill 2nd Addition; and WHEREAS, notice of the hearing on said petition has been duly published and posted in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, Public Hearing was held on said petition on Monday, November 1, 1999, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Prior Lake Fire Station #1 ; and WHEREAS, the City Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said petition and persons interested afforded the opportunity to present their views and objections to the granting of said petition; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Prior Lake has determined that the vacation of said easement would be in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, that pursuant to Minnesota Statues 412.851, the following described portion of the roadway easement situated on the above described property in the City of Prior Lake, Scott County, Minnesota is hereby vacated: Legal Description: That portion of the 16.5 foot roadway easement for Pike Lake Trail located on the west boundary of Lots 1-4, Block 4, Knob Hill 2nd Addition, described as follows: the easterly 6.5 feet of said easement except the northerly 178.85 feet and the southerly 10 feet thereof. Passed and adopted this 1 st day of November, 1999.
