CONSIDER APPROVAL A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FULL AND FINAL
PAYMENT TO INGRAM EXCAVATING, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
LAKEFRONT PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. .
History
On May 3, 1999 the City entered into a contract with Ingram Excavating, Inc. for the
construction of Lakefront Park Development. All work under the contract has been
completed and this agenda item requests full and final payment.
Current Circumstances
The final payment is for $6,560.00 for a total contract amount of $1,385,827.50. This
is $8,776.50 over the original contract amount, or a variance of just over ';2 percent
from the base bid. The final contract amount is based upon actual rather than projected
contract quantities.
Conclusion
It is staffs recommendation to approve the final payment as requested
The original contract for the construction of Lakefront Park Development was
$1,377,051.00. The final payment amount is $6,560.00. The funds will be drawn from
the Lakefront Park portion of the referendum.
There are three alternatives for the City Council to consider:
1. Approve a resolution authorizing full and final payment to Ingram Excavating, Inc.
2. Table this agenda item for a specific reason.
3. Deny this agenda item for a specific reason and provide staff with direction.
Staff recommends alternative number 1.

EXCAVATING, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LAKEFRONT PARK
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

On February 25, 1997 the citizens of Prior Lake passed a referendum which
included the improvements to Lakefront Park; and
Ingram Excavating, Inc. was awarded the contract for construction of Lakefront
Park Development; and
Ingram Excavating, Inc. has in all respects completed the contract for construction
of Lakefront Park Development; and
The original contract for the construction of Lakefront Park was $1,377,051.00;
and
Additional work was required for an increase of $8,776.50; and
The final contract amount is $1,385,827.50; and
Staff recommends acceptance ofthe project and full and final payment of the
contract.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE,
MINNESOTA, that
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein
2. Final payment is hereby authorized to be made to Ingram Excavating, Inc. in the amount
of $6,560.00 for the contract to construct Lakefront Park Development from the Park and
Library referendum fund.
