DISPLAY PERMIT FOR THE CHURCH OF ST. MICHAEL
CurrentC"cumswnces
The Church of St. Michael is requesting a temporary consumption and
. display permit in order to have intoxicating liquor on the premises
during their annual Gala Dinner fund raiser to be held on Saturday,
February 14, 2004. The permit will allow the consumption and
display of intoxicating liquor on the premises, with the sale of set-ups,
but shall not allow the sale of intoxicating liquor.
The Issues
The Church of St. Michael has completed the application, paid the
temporary consumption and display permit fee of $25.00 and provided
the City with proof of insurance from the Archdiocese of St.
Paul/Minneapolis. The Prior Lake Police Department has reported no
problems with past temporary consumption and display permits
granted to the Church of St. Michael.
The City Council has the following alternatives:
1. Adopt a motion as part of the consent agenda approving the
temporary consumption and display permit for the Church of St.
Michael.
2. Deny the temporary consumption and display permit request.
Staff recommends Council approve the temporary consumption and
display permit for the Church of St. Michael for Saturday, February
14,2004.
