The recreational opportunities are not just confined to the lake, but include major celebrations such as Lakefront Days. Lakefront Days is the epitome of volunteerism, civic duty and community pride coming together to produce a week's worth of events designed for the whole family. If you didn't participate in Lakefront Days, you missed the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of music, foods from a dozen area restaurants, a water ski show, artisans selling their crafts, the parade, a 250+ classic car cruise, and rides and activities for kids of all ages. Lakefront Days is growing. We now count attendance in thousands. A significant number of individuals and organizations form a tight-knit team to make Lakefront Days possible. It is fitting to take a moment to acknowledge the major organizers of the Lakefront Days events to thank them for their efforts. From the Chamber of Commerce, thank yous are in order to President Darcy Rose, various Chamber Board members and Sandi Fleck, the Executive Director. Darcy and Sandi made it a family affair with their spouses John and Rick, respectively, joining in to help the whole weekend. John Parrish was responsible for the parade. The car cruise was coordinated by Kat Asmus with assistance from Bill O'Rourke. The Ice Cream Social was made possible through the combined efforts of Susan Walsh and Kelly Meyer. AI Friedges and his capable crew made sure that before, during and after the event, Lakefront Park looked its best. As capable as these people are, there were a whole host of organizations and individuals who donated their time and energy to make Lakefront Days possible either as participants or as workers. You know who you are. Thank you for making Lakefront Days 2002 the biggest and best yet! 16200 Eagle Creek Ave. S.E., Prior Lake, Minnesota 55372-1714 / Ph.
