The April 12, 1994, Special Planning Corrn~ission Meeting was called to order by Chairman Amold at 6:05
P.M. Those present were Conurfissioners Roseth, Amold, Vonhof, Director of Planning Horst Graser, and
Secretary Rim Schewe. Corranissioners Loftus and Kuykendall were absent.
ITEMI - PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED - PETITION BY NEW CENTURY CONSTRUCTION
TO AMEND THE CO~SIVE PLAN LAND USE MAP AND CITY ZONING
The public hearing was called to order at 6:05 P.M. The public was in attendance and a sign-up sheet was
circulated.
Ha'st Gmser, Director of Planning, stated that the principle reason for the continuation of the public hearing
today for the rezoning aspect of the hearing, was to be able to render a opinion fa:st on the comprehensive
plan which usually precede the rezoning. Due to publication differences the special public hearing was
called for tonight to complete this schedule.
A brief surnrnary was given on the application and the resolutions reviewed.
Conamnts from the Commissioners were on; clarification of resolutions, number of classrooms, number of
people in building during sessions, traffic issues, and all were in support of the petition.

ADOPTION OF 94-12PC APPROVING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN LAND USE MAP BE
AMENDED FROM COMMERCIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENIIAL FOR 2.6 ACRES OF LAND
IMMEDIATELY SOU2HWEST OF THE INTEr--ON OF TOWER AND TORONTO STREW.
Vote taken signified ayes by Roseth, Vonhof, and Amold. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
MOTION BY ROSETH, SECOND BY VONHOF, TO RECOMMEND TO CITY COUNCIL THE
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE 944)8 WHICH READS, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR LAKE
C1TY CODE SECTION 5-2-1 AND PRIOR LAKE ZONING ORDINANCE NO.83-6 SECIION 2.1 IS
HEREBY AMENDED TO CHANGE THE ZONING CLASSIFICATIONS OF THE EAST 300 FEET OF
LOT 1, BLOCK 3, BROOKSVILLE CENTER 1ST ADDITION, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 2.6
ACRES, FROM B-3, GENERAL BUSINESS TO R-3, MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL.
Vote taken signified ayes by Roseth, Vonhof, and Amold. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
MOTION BY ROSEWH, SECOND B Y VONHOF, TO CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING.
Vote taken signified ayes by Roseth, Vonhof, and Arnold. MOTION CARRIED. The public
