CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
DECEMBER 16.2002
5Gl
JANET RINGBERG, LICENSE CLERK
CONSIDER APPROVAL OF 2003 MASSAGE THERAPY
LICENSE RENEWALS
Current Circumstances
Massage therapy license renewal applications are due annually in
December. Seven massage therapy licenses were either renewed or
issued in 2002. Of those seven licensees, five have chosen to renew
their licenses for 2003. Attached to this agenda report is a list of the
five individuals who are applying to renew their massage therapy
license. The annual license renewal fee for massage therapy according
to the current fee schedule is $250.00.
The Issues
All applicants have completed the renewal application and paid the
$250.00 license fee. The Prior Lake Police Department has reported
no problems with any of the applicants.
The City Council has the following alternatives:
1. Adopt a motion as part of the consent agenda approving the
massage therapy license renewals for 2003.
2. Deny one or more of the license requests.
Staff recommends Council approve the 2003 massage therapy license
renewals as part of the consent agenda.
