HomeMy WebLinkAbout5H - Crystal Bay Development MEETING DATE: AGENDA #: PREPARED BY: AGENDA ITEM: DISCUSSION: ALTERNATIVES: RECOMMENDED MOTION: REVIEWED BY: CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT JANUARY 21,2003 SH DONALD RYE, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR CONSIDER APPROVAL OF TIME EXTENSION FOR FILING APPLICATIONS FOR FINAL PUD AND PLAT APPROVAL FOR CRYSTAL BAY History On October 7, 2002, the City Council approved a preliminary plat and PUD plan for the Crystal Bay development consisting of 26 townhouse units. The ordinance requires that an application for Final PUD and final plat be submitted within 90 days of approval of the preliminaries unless the applicant requests an extension of the filing date within the 90 days. Current Circumstances The applicants submitted a request for a 90 day extension on January 7, 2003.This falls within the 90 day period for such requests required by ordinance. Issues The issue here is whether or not to grant the extension. Staff sees no reason why such an extension should not be granted. Conclusion The request for extension was timely and staff has no objection to the extension. 1. Approve the extension 2. Deny the request for extension. Motion to extend the deadline for filing Final PUD and final plat application by 90 days to April 8,2003.
