Motion by Roseth to approve the Conditional Use Sign permit request for the Economic Development Committee at the three proposed locations: 1.) Corners of County Road 42 and Highway 13. 2.) Duluth and Highway 13. 3.) Highway 13 and 160th Street. and following the diagram submitted, seconded by Loftus. Upon a vote taken, the motion was duly passed. 84 CITY OF PRIOR LAKE M E M O R A N D U M TO: PLANNING COMMISSION FROM: HORST W. CHASER RE: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT DATE: MAY 14. 1984 The Prior Lake Econ.Adc Development Committee is requesting three public service information signs to advertise Lakefront Days, June 8th and 9th. Permits for these signs are issued by the Planning Commission for B Districts only with the marimm of 100 square feet. The three proposed locations are: comers of County Road 42 and Highway 13, Duluth and Highway 13, end Highway 13 and 160th Street. The permission to erect the signs has been granted to the Economic Development Committee by the owners of the property. The size of the signs are 4 X 16 feet with the message reading "Lakefront Days, June 6th and 9th" and the Prior Lake logo on the bottom right hand aide of the sign. The algae will be professionally made and will be attractive. Lakefront Days is a new event this year sponsored in part by the City of Prior Lake. The event weds eaposure and advertising to make it a sucm--. The signs are only temporary in nature and will be removed shortly after June 9th. These will be attractive signs and will cause no hardship on anyone or produce any visual pollution. The staff recommends the approval for the temporary signs fit the above referenced location.
