PRESENTATION OF RETIREMENT PLAQUE TO VERL YN RAAEN
AFTER 24 YEARS OF SERVICE WITH THE CITY.
Verlyn Raaen has decided to retire from his position as Engineering
Technician with the City. Verlyn's last day was January 14th.
During his career at Prior Lake, Verlyn has assumed a wide range of
responsibilities for the Engineering Division. He has done a considerable
amount of surveying, lot grading review and approval, utility locating,
drafting, customer service, construction observation, special assessment
calculation and mapping.
Verlyn is truly a jack of all engineering trades. He was the first person
besides Larry Anderson hired in the Prior Lake Engineering Department.
With Verlyn's departure, a lot of engineering history is lost.
Verlyn and his wife Kay will be doing some traveling, including fishing,
snowmobiling and boating. Verlyn is an outdoorsman who will make the
best of his retirement. We hope Verlyn will stop by from time to time on his
trusty bicycle to say "hi" to his former fellow employees.
We all wish Verlyn a wonderful retirement.
