CONSIDER APPROVAL OF REFUSE HAULER'S PERMIT
FOR TIDY DISPOSAL INC
Current Circumstances
Mark Johnson of Tidy Disposal, Inc., P.O. Box 40, Belle Plaine, MN
56011 has applied for a Refuse Hauler's Permit in order haul refuse in
the City of Prior Lake. Tidy Disposal, Inc. will be concentrating its
business on commercial customers only. They will mainly be picking
up refuse from compactors and roll-offs at construction sites.
The Issues
The applicant has provided the City with the required documents for
this permit and has paid the application fee of$150.00 ($125.00 for
one truck and the $25.00 roll off container fee). The Prior Lake Police
Department has completed its investigation of Tidy Disposal, Inc. and
has found no reason to deny the permit.
The City Council has the following alternatives:
1. Adopt a motion as part of the consent agenda approving the Refuse
Hauler's Permit for Tidy Disposal, Inc.
2. Deny the permit request.
Staff recommends Council approve the Refuse Hauler's Permit for
Tidy Disposal Inc. as part of the consent agenda.
