At this time the applicant is requesting comments and information fran the Planning Commissioners before going to the DNR with the request. City Planner Graser commented per memo dated February 18, 1988. Mike Mueller, area hydrologist fran the DNR, canmented that Lakeside Marina received a permit in 1978 to excavate and were allowed 40 slips on 3 separate docks, since then the criteria has changed. Were are several things to take into consideration such as, an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW), maneuvering issues for boats and cars, and County Road 21 construction before another permit is given. The state statutes now would like local goverrment to became involved in water issues which might present a problem, which seems to be the case here. The area residents had concerns over parking, maneuvering, traffic, safety, additional slips, density, rubbish, congestion, access, widening of County Road 21, policing, and over ridding an existing permit.
