AGENDA ITEM: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF A MASSAGE THERAPY LICENSE FOR SUSAN
SKOVRAN
DISCUSSION: Introduction
The purpose of this agenda item is to consider approval of a massage therapy
license for Susan Skovran.
Historv
Massage therapists are required to be licensed in the City of Prior Lake if they are
not working directly under a state licensed practitioner such as a physical therapist
or a chiropractor.
Current Circumstances
Susan Skovran, 14709 5458 Fairlawn Shores Trail, Prior Lake MN 55372, has ap-

Lake. She is planning to practice in her home. The Community Development De-
partment has issued a Home Occupation Permit which will allow her to work out of
her home. Ms. Skovran has provided the city with the required proof of education
and training. Massage therapy licenses are issued on a calendar year, which
would make this license valid until December 31, 2013, at which time it would be
subject to renewal along with all other licensed massage therapists in Prior Lake.

to ensure that all issues concerning public safety and compliance have been met.
