Walter Jobst, and Mayor Stock.
Mr. Dane Randolph of 121 Lyons Ave. Prior Lake, Block 2, Lot II of Prior South, asked
for a variance on side yard setback of loft. and 7ft. respectively. He presented 2 letters
from neighbors stating that they owned the adjoining lots and that they had no objections.
The variance is for building a garage. Pat Walker made a motion to grant the variance,
Luis Tercero seconded. The motion carried with Walter Jobst opposed.
Wicker /Knox presented a new layout with single family homes for Mitchel Pond and asked
for a approval of the roadway system per plus point accepted and marked 6/203
Walter Jobst made the motion to: approve the new Mitchel Pond Plan for roadways for the purpose of
Installing and placing,utilitdes. The new fpan calls for 16 lots. Pat Walker seconded.
Motion carried.
John Mahoney requested a side yard set back and rear yard set back variance to 5ft. each for
r se se garage. Walter Jobst made the motion that approval be granted only with a 30ft. roar yard
9 t back and loft. side yard set back. Seconded by Pat Walker. Motion Carried. (Lot 19
Block 1, Prior South is the lot description).
Rollie Rueger asked for a variance to 4ft. an the side yard set back for a garage an lot 22,
Candy Cove Park. The lot is very long, high above Prior Lake but narrows so that the garages
in the neighborhood are built in front of the houses. Rollie Rueger had a letter from his neighbor
stating he had no objections. Pat Walker made the motion that the variance be granted. Motion C.
carried.
The planning commission suspacks that several buildings have been put up not in compllance
with Prior Lake Ordkanaes or not according to the variances granted and has asked Wally Stock
to Instruct the village engineer to check on seversal such sites.
Meeting adjourned 9:40. Next meeting will be at 7130 July 12

PRIOR LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION - Minutes of June 14,1973
Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M. Members present were Dan Stack, Luis Tercero,
Bill B'ssonett, Pat Walker, Commissioners, Councilman Tom Watkins and Mayor Stork.
The minutes to the previous meeting were approved.
Bill Schmokel appeared to show the Commission an original plat on Hidden Oaks 1st Addition
as applied to variance granted to Mr. Steve Montrevil (Minutes of 5/31/73). He explained
how the "Cuntested" right of way of the road in front of Mr. Montrevil's house (which has been upheld',
according to Mr. Schmokel) has reduced his front yard set back to 27ft. bin. (maintaining his
granted 12ft. & 13ft. side yard set backs). It was brought up that the original plat was
approved under the Eagle Creek Revised 15ft, Sidelot Set Back Ordlances.
Mr. Dane Randolph presented plans for a proposed garage in Prior South, Block 2, Let. Il, that
requires a side lot variance. He also presented letters from the owners of Iola 10 and 12
stating no objections to the variance. After discussion It was moved and pared to "to the
regular Planning Commission Meet rarequest until the next re
gu ng ing, (Jana 28, 1413) to allow time. I

Mr. & Mrs. Lowell Rieck appeared for a Conditional Use Permit on a Retail Gift Shop at
371 Central Av. No., it tspresently zoned B-3. They also requested variance to remodel
the basement into an apartment. It was noted tiot the business is a Permitted Use and
requires no Cond. Use Permit.
Mr. Otto Hamburg's property and his intent to build a Pole Building an it was discussed for
general reference.
Mr. Charles Peugh from Signcrafters presented a drawing of a proposed sign for Laken Drive
In Restaurant. Size is 5ft. x 6ft. with bottom of sign at 10ft. off the ground. It is
internally luminated and is not flashing. Approval was granted.
Mr. Ross Woodruff Re Condon's Woodale, Lot 6. Presented plans for a proposed home addition,
and garage relocation and widening. In essence, he would be adding to the front lot set back
by 9ft. and reducing the East side lot set back by 2ft. The adjoining property owners
(one is Mayor Stock) have given their permission to go ahead with the project. It was moved
and passed to grant permission with minimum 4ft. East sklelot space.
Mr. Rick Heetland Re: An unplatted lot between lots 2 & 10 in .Green Hts. The lot is
55ft. wide at the high water line and 65ft. at the road. There Is an existing summer
cottage on the lot now. He asked general knowledge as to what he might be able to build on
the property after sewer is in. The lot Is 59ft. wide at the building site. He was given a
flereral statement from the Commission that he would be granted loft. side yard set backs and
- general sitellne set backs on front and rear yards consistant with the sunounding property.

June 14 — Planning Commission minutes continued
Mr. Paul Hotaler Re: 100ft. lot in Mavis Addition In Candy Cove. His desire is to build
a 72ft. house with a )Oft. West side lot set back. He showed 35ft. set back from the lake
line. The lakeside set back would be consistent with the adjacent properties permanent structures
He sold he would place his septic system at the rear (away from the lake) of the house. It was
noted that at the time of plat, the side lot requirement was loft.
Motion to have 30ft. front setback as described by court and various granted May 31,1973
are to rerrmin the same. Motion made by Walker seconded by Louts. Motion carried.
Discussion on Prior Wood Vale Association swimming pool and tennis court. Preliminary
concept apixoval given.
Motion to adjsurnat 10:45 by Walker, second by Louis. Motion carried.
