Personnel Notes: We have completed the background investigation of our police officer candidate and have made
a job offer conditional on successful completion of the psychological and physical examinations.
A number of our officers, as well as County and Shakopee officers, were involved in the witness suicide. We had the
Metro Critical Incident Stress Management Team debrief any and all of those officers. We are in the process of
scheduling a training session for our supervisors, as well as inviting supervisors from all Scott County agencies, to
give them information on the signs to look for in participants of a critical/stressful incident.
Traffic stops have rebounded, even though we are still short two officers (one vacancy and one injury) by using some
overtime traffic shifts. In addition to the increase traffic presence, the stops have yielded an occupied stolen vehicle
and the recovery of counterfeit money.
