FRANK BOYLES, CITY MANAGER
AMERICAN LEGION POLICE OFFICER OF THE YEAR AWARD
FEBRUARY 22, 1994
Tom Lannon, Chaplin for the American Legion and Chair of their Law and
Order Committee, together with Commander Bob Rowe will be present at
the February 22 Council meeting to award the American Legion's Police
of the Year Award plaque to Mayor Andren. They will be asking that the
City receive the plaque and install it in a prominent location at City Hall.
This is the third year of the Police Officer recognition program, but the
plaque provides for numerous blank spaces upon which the names of
future Police Officer of the Year recipients can be engraved. Tom Lannon
advises me that the presentation should take about five minutes.
The Police Officer of the Year program represents an excellent example
of how community organizations can support the efforts of their local
government.
