In speaking with Greg Skluzacek this am —he has heard from city staff that the park has gravel soil. Engineer Ryan will email computations and a statement stating that a gravel soil would be acceptable on Monday as he is out of the office today. When the holes are bored for the footings and inspected and if there is a different composition of soils other than gravel, we will have to reevaluate. The odds are good that it will be gravel based on past experiences. Based on engineer Ryan's statement, I suggest that we hold off on a soil boring and evaluation until the footing inspection. Mark Schroeder called this am for an update, he said that John the installer will fill out the building permit application and email it to me. The remaining items: 1. Building permit application 2. Computations and statement from Ryan. This email was not sent to all of the parties involved. .. a, j ak Robert D. We received the information on the connection /bracketing system. We still need the following items to complete the application: 1. Building Permit Application 2. Welder's Certifications 3. Design assumptions and /or calculations for the footings. Bob does have a call into Ryan. I know there was a goal to have the scoreboard installed by July 1 I am going to suggest that we move forward with soil borings which might take two weeks, so that we ensure we can meet that goal. The City is offering to coordinate and fund the borings which we anticipate to be $1500 -2000. Please let me know if this is the route you wish to pursue.
