HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-17 RESOLUTION 94-17 RESOLUTION OF THE PRIOR LAKE CITY COUNCIL DENYING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT BY WENSMANN REALTY TO CHANGE THE BRANDT FARM AT THE INTERSECTION OF PIKE LAKE TRAIL AND COUNTY ROAD 42 FROM INDUSTRIAL TO RESIDENTIAL. MOTION BY: KEDROWSKI. SECONDED BY: GREENFIELD WHEREAS, that the City Council of Prior Lake considered a Comprehensive Plan Amendment request on April 4, 1994, by Wensmann Realty to amend the Comprehensive Land Use Map; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that industrial and commercial opportunities were a high priority in an effort to diversify the tax base; and WHEREAS, the City is currently conducting a study to determine future areas of commercial and industrial opportunities thoughout the City; and WHEREAS, the applicant and staff did not present sufficient information and alternatives of why this land could not be used for industrial; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the proposed amendment is premature and at this time would not be in the best interest of the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA, THAT THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN AMENDMENT BY WENS MANN REALTY BE DENIED Passed and adopted this 18th day of April 1994.
