Resolution 94-30 has been prepared for Council action on the award of bid. i\lso this i\genda item is for council to consider authorizing MSi\ consulting EngineerS to perfonn the constrUction engineering services on this project. On May 2, 1994, the City council approved the i\dvertisement for BidS for the improvement of the following sucets: I. Brunswick !\Venue from franklin Trail to Lyons i\venue. 2. Dublin Road from Brunswick !\Venue to Lyons i\venue. 3. Erin Circle from Dublin Road to end tenninuS. 4. Lyons i\venue from franklin Trail to Brunswick !\Venue. i\ bid opening on June 2, 1994, at 10:15 i\.M. was held in the council Chambers, and the results are shown on Resolution 94-30. Resnlution 94-30 shOWS that Valley Paving, Inc. from ShakOpee. Minnesota is the tow responsible bidder. The loW base bid incl udin g alternate bid is $435,511.16. The Engineer's Estimate was $434,615.38 for this project. The base bid is for the reconstrUction of streets including the repair of stonn sewers and correcting drainage problems within the Prior South area. i\n alternate bid has been included for the dredging of Blind Lake by a stOnn sewer oudet. This work was scheduled in the Storm Water Quality Budget for this year. The alternate bid amount was $9,300.00 as compared to staffs estirnate of $11,538.00 to do the work.
