Home My WebLink About4F - Amend to 1996 Fee Schedule STAFF AGENDA REPORT DATE: 4F RALPH TESCHNER, FINANCE DIRECTOR CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO 1996 FEE SCHEDULE MAY 20, 1996 AGENDA #: PREPARED BY: SUBJECT: INTRODUCTION: The purpose for this agenda request is for City Council consideration to reduce the cost of survey, plat and parcel reports from $15.00 to the standard 50 cent copy charge. DISCUSSION: Originally the cost for survey, plat and parcel reports was established at $15.00. However it has come to our attention that the Data Practices Act provides that a charge can only be made upon the basis of cost incurred. Since the actual cost is basically the cost of reproduction, Staff is requesting that the 1996 Fee Schedule be modified with respect to these reports. ALTERNATIVES: The following alternatives are available to the Council: 1. Reduce the cost from $15.00 to the 50 cent copy charge for survey, plat and parcel reports on the 1996 Fee Schedule. 2. Maintain the current charge on the 1996 Fee Schedule. 3. Modify the charge to an amount as determined by the City Council. RECOMMENDATION: Staffwould recommend Alternative #1. motion as part of the consent agenda to approve the reduction of survey, plat and parcel reports from a cost of$15.00 to 50 cents and t~ amend the 1996 Fee Schedule to reflect this change.
