Prior Lake and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or
certified check payable to Clerk of the
City of Prior Lake, for five (5%) per-
cent of the amount bid to be forfeited
as liquidated damages in the event that
the oid be accepted and bidder shall
fail to enter promptly into a written
contract and furnisn the required
bond.
No bids max be withdrawn for a
period of sixtr (60) days from the date
of opening 0 bids. The City of Prior
Lake reserves the right to reject any or
all bids. Further, the City reserves the
right to accert a bid higher than the
lowest bid i , in the opinion of the
Council. the public interest will be
better served.

TO ALL BIDDERS: The above titled plans, specifications, and contract documents are hereby
revised in accordance with the items set forth herein.
Receipt of this addendum must be acknowledged by entering "Addendum No.1" in the space
provided on page 5 of the Bid.
This addendum to the plans and specifications is hereby made a part of the contract documents
for the above-entitled project, to the same extent as though it were originally contained therein.
All bidders are expected to thoroughly examine each item enumerated herein, regardless of its
apparent application(s) and shall be held responsible for furnishing all labor and materials
required in the division of the work that the items indicate. Items herein shall take precedence
over any clauses, which they modify in the contract documents or portions of plans and
specifications, which they modify or supplement.
A. BID SCHEDULE
Chan~e:
The Bidder shall submit his/her bid on the revised Bid Schedule that is attached to this
Addendum No.1. The 12"watermain on the bid schedules have been changed from Class 52 to
Special Class 50 to reflect the Section 3400.2Al of the watermain General Requirement no PVC
watermain is allowed.
Add:
The City of Prior Lake is planning to install a trunk storm sewer on Pike Lake Trail. This
requires the pipe size increases as revised on the Bid Schedule 4.0 Pike Lake Trail (trunk storm
sewer svstem ).
The Contractor shall be required to utilize the revised bid schedules attached to Addendum No.1
to submit his bid, to ensure that the proper pipe sizes and quantities are bid. The storm sewer
trunk system shall become a part of the base bid :fi)r the project.

Alternate 3.0 Pike Lake Trail (storm sewer) has been added to the revised bid schedule. This bid
schedule is to be considered a alternative bid. This schedule reflects the original storm sewer
system. This alternate bid is based upon the State Aid approval. The City reserves the right to
select the storm sewer trunk system as bid on the revised schedule 4.0 or to select the original
State Aid approved storm sewer on revised Alternate 3.0. The City will negotiate with the office
of State Aid to determine State Aid participation based upon the percentage (%) of flow in the
storm sewer system. All trunk storm sewer oversizing is considered to be No-State-Aid funded
by the City; storm water management utility.
The receipt of this Addendum No.1 shall also be acknowledged by the Contractor by entering
"Addendum No.1, dated July 26, 1997, in Section 0 of the Agreement Form on Page 9."
B. SPECIFICATIONS
Section 2500 - Storm Draina~~
Specific Requirements shall be modified as outlined herein by Addendum No.1.
,2500.1 Description
This work shall include the installation of 12" to 36" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) drain pipe,
aprons, catch basins, manholes, and sump manhole construction, and connection into existing
systems as outlined in the revised plans, specifications, and bid schedules per Addendum No.1.
Section 3400 Watermain Specifics
3400.2
All 12" larger Ductile --- Pipe shall meet the requirements of Special Class 50 as provided for a
Section 34000.2.A10fthe General Requirements. PVC Watermain shall not be allowed.
C. REVISED BID SCHEDULE
The bid schedule in the original specifications manual shall be modified as outlined herein
"Addendum No.1". The Contractor shall be required to submit his bid on the revised bid
schedule that is attached to this Addendum No.1.
The following modifications have been made to the bid schedule;
i)
Schedule 4.0 Pike Lake Trail (storrn sewer) has been revised to state "Schedule
4.0 Pike Lake Trail (trunk stonn sewer system)" and various size pipes have been
added or deleted to match the revised plans for the trunk storm sewer system.
This scheduled is a part of the base bid.
ii)
Alternate 3.0 Pike Lake Trail (Storm Sewer System) Alternative Bid has been
added to the revised bid schedule. The bid schedule matches the original section
4.0 which is the State Aid approved storm se\ver system.

iii) Schedule 5.0 watermain has been IIlodified to require Class 50 for 12" and larger
watermains.
D. REVISED PLAN SHEETS
Addendum No.1 has been prepared to provide for a trunk storm sewer system on Pike
Lake Trail. The original plan sheets 2 of 13 and 6 of 13 have been revised to reflect the
City's proposed trunk storm sewer. Enclosed with Addendum No.1 are plan sheets 2R
of 13 and 6R of 13. The Bidders are advised to insert these revised plan sheets into their
plans for Pike Lake Trail to reflect this Addendum No.1.
i) Sheet 2R/13 - has been modified to reflect the trunk storm sewer system. These
modifications include revisions in; pipe sizes, manhole sizes, estimated quantities
per pipe size.
ii) Sheet 6R/13 has been modified to reflect the trunk storm sewer system. These
revisions begin with the proposed 21" stub out at station 6+05, ATMH3 and
continue northward on Pike Lake Trail to County Road 42 (Station 0+70). The
revisions also include the upsizing of the RCP between STMH5 and STMH6,
including the apron with exits STMH6 to the East of Pike Lake Trail.
The revisions related to large stVllU sewer trunk sizes to convey the addition
storm water runoff being delivered by the new 21" stub, due to commercial
development of the W ensman property to the west of Pike Lake Trail. The
inserts, grades, and elevations of the storm sewer system have been revised per
the final hydraulic design of the trunk system.
iii) The Contractor should retain the original sheets 2/13 and 6/13 by marking them as
alternate bid per schedule 4.1.

TO ALL BIDDERS: The above titled plans, spt:cifications, and contract documents are hereby
revised in accordance with the items set forth herein.
Receipt of this addendum must be acknowledged by entering "Addendum No.1" in the space
provided on page 5 of the Bid.
This addendum to the plans and specifications is hereby made a part of the contract documents
for the above-entitled project, to the same extent as though it were originally contained therein.
All bidders are expected to thoroughly examine each item enumerated herein, regardless of its
apparent application(s) and shall be held responsible for furnishing all labor and materials
required in the division of the work that the items indicate. Items herein shall take precedence
over any clauses, which they modify in the contract documents or portions of plans and
specifications, which they modify or supplement.
A. BID SCHEDULE
ChanQe:
The Bidder shall submit his/her bid on the revised Bid Schedule that is attached to this
Addendum No. I. The 12"watermain on the bid schedules have been changed from Class 52 to
Special Class 50 to reflect the Section 3400.2AI of the watermain General Requirement no PVC
watermain is allowed.

The City of Prior Lake is planning to install a trunk storm sewer on Pike Lake Trail. This
requires the pipe size increases as revised on the Bid Schedule 4.0 Pike Lake Trail (trunk storm
sewer svstem).
The Contractor shall be required to utilize the revised bid schedules attached to Addendum No.1
to submit his bid, to ensure that the proper pipe sizes and quantities are bid. The storm sewer
trunk system shall become a part of the base bid for the project.

Alternate 3.0 Pike Lake Trail (storm sewer) has been added to the revised bid schedule. This bid
schedule is to be considered a alternative bid. This schedule reflects the original stonn sewer
system. This alternate bid is based upon the State Aid approval. The City reserves the right to
select the storm sewer trunk system as bid on the revised schedule 4.0 or to select the original
State Aid approved storm sewer on revised Alternate 3.0. The City will negotiate with the office
of State Aid to determine State Aid participation based upon the percentage (%) of flow in the
storm sewer system. All trunk storm sewer oversizing is considered to be No-State-Aid funded
by the City; storm water management utility.
The receipt of this Addendum No. 1 shall also be acknowledged by the Contractor by entering
"Addendum No.1, dated July 26, 1997, in Section 0 of the Agreement Form on Page 9."
B. SPECIFICATIONS
Section 2500 - Storm Draina1le
Specific Requirements shall be modified as outlined herein by Addendum No.1.
2500.1 Descriotion
This work shall include the installation of 12" to 36" reinforced concrete pipe (Rep) drain pipe,
aprons, catch basins, manholes, and sump manhole construction, and connection into existing
systems as outlined in the revised plans, specifications, and bid schedules per Addendum No.1.
Section 3400 Watermain Specifics
3400.2
All 12" larger Ductile --- Pipe shall meet the requirements of Special Class 50 as provided for a
Section 34000.2.A1ofthe General Requirements. PVC Watermain shall not be allowed.
c. H.EVISED BID SCHEDULE
The bid schedule in the original specifications manual shall be modified as outlined herein
"Addendum No.1". The Contractor shall be required to submit his bid on the revised bid
schedule that is attached to this Addendum No. 1.
The following modifications have been made to the bid schedule;
i)
Schedule 4.0 Pike Lake Trail (storm sewer) has been revised to state "Schedule
4.0 Pike Lake Trail (trunk storm sewer system)" and various size pipes have been
added or deleted to match the revised plans for the trunk storm sewer system.
This scheduled is a part of the base bid.
ii)
Alternate 3.0 Pike Lake Trail (Storm Sewer System) Alternative Bid has been
added to the revised bid schedule. The bid schedule matches the original section
4.0 which is the State Aid approvf:d storm sewer system.

iii) Schedule 5.0 watermain has been modified to require Class 50 for 12" and larger
watermains.
D. REVISED PLAN SHEETS
Addendum No.1 has been prepared to provide for a trunk storm sewer system on Pike
Lake Trail. The original plan sheets 2 of 13 and 6 of 13 have been revised to reflect the
City's proposed trunk storm sewer. Enclosed with Addendum No.1 are plan sheets 2R
of 13 and 6R of 13. The Bidders are advised to insert these revised plan sheets into their
plans for Pike Lake Trail to reflect this j~ddendum No.1.
i) Sheet 2R/13 - has been modified to reflect the trunk storm sewer system. These
modifications include revisions in; pipe sizes, manhole sizes, estimated quantities
per pIpe SIze.
ii) Sheet 6R/13 has been modified to reflect the trunk storm sewer system. These
revisions begin with the proposed 21" stub out at station 6+05, A TMH3 and
continue northward on Pike Lake Trail to County Road 42 (Station 0+70). The
revisions also include the upsizing of the Rep between STMH5 and STMH6,
including the apron with exits STMH6 to the East of Pike Lake Trail.
The revisions related to large storm sewer trunk sizes to convey the addition
storm water runoff being delivered by the new 21" stub, due to commercial
development of the Wensman property to the west of Pike Lake Trail. The
inserts, grades, and elevations of the storm sewer system have been revised per
the final hydraulic design of the trunk system.
iii) The Contractor should retain the original sheets 2/13 and 6/13 by marking them as
alternate bid per schedule 4.1.
