Report and therefore the totals of the selected categories will not add up to the total number of incidents shown on
the last line above.
Personnel Notes: Our newest officer, Bryce Schuenke, will be introduced to the Council tonight and sworn in. This
brings the department up to its authorized strength of 24 sworn officers.
We used Code Red for a missing, vulnerable 11 year old female. Once the message was sent out we immediately
received tips from the public that helped in locating the young girl.
OPEN DOOR HANGERS. As you may recall, the Community Safety Committee designed some door hangers that
officers use during the overnight hours when they see an overhead garage door left open. Despite issuing nearly
500 of such notices in the past 13 months we continue to find doors left open. This month a couple was awakened
by noise in their home and got downstairs to see a car pulling out of their driveway. A description was immediately
broadcast and the vehicle was stopped on highway 13. The two Burnsville occupants of the vehicle were arrested
for burglary of an occupied dwelling. Reports received in the next couple of days led to one additional burglary
charge and a charge of theft from an automobile applied to them.
