All systems were also balanced to within +/- 10% of design unless noted otherwise. The following corrections were performed by Melink and /or the contractors on -site. 1. Job site arrival. Melink arrived on the job site and met with the general contractor Bill Weinberger from Greiner Construction. Bill showed Melink the latest drawings to use for the Test and Balance visit. The electrical contractor was onsite for the duration of the Test and Balance visit to the restaurant. The mechanical contractor was not onsite for the Test and Balance visit to the restaurant. 2. Design Discrepancies. • EF -4 design horsepower is' /, actual horsepower is' . Seeing that desired CFM was achieved, no further action is needed. • EF -6 design horsepower is 1/4; actual horsepower is 1/2. Seeing that desired CFM was achieved, no further action is needed. • EF -7 design model number does not match installed unit. (See punch list for further details) • RTU's 1, 2, and 3 design model numbers do not match installed units. (See punch list for further details) • RTU -3 design CFM was listed as 5325. Connected load added up to 5300. RTU -3 was balanced to connect load CFM. 3. Roof top units (RTU's) adjustments and comments. RTU -1 was operating above total design airflow. The fan speed was decreased by adjusting the motor pulley. The outside air damper was set at or near design specifications. RTU -2 was operating above total design airflow. The fan speed was decreased by adjusting the MSAV settings. The outside air damper was set at or near design specifications. Diffuser 2C is operating below design CFM. The volume damper was verified to be 100% open and no comfort issues were noticed. No further action will be needed. RTU -3 was operating above total design airflow. The fan speed was decreased by adjusting the motor pulley. The outside air damper was set at or near design specifications. Diffusers 3H, 3I and 3J are operating below design CFM. The volume dampers were verified to be 100% open and no comfort issues were noticed. Diffusers 3Q and 3R are operating above CFM. Due to the location of the volume dampers being inaccessible, Melink was unable to adjust the CFM. No comfort issues were noticed. No further action will be needed. 4. Exhaust fan (EF) adjustments and comments. EF -1 was operating above total design airflow. The fan speed was decreased by adjusting the VSC located on the blower motor to help achieve total design airflow. EF -5 was operating at or near design. No fan speed adjustments were necessary. EF -6 was operating above total design airflow. The fan speed was decreased by adjusting the VSC located on the blower motor to help achieve total design airflow. EF -7 was operating at or near design. No fan speed adjustments were necessary. TF -1 was operating at or near design. No fan speed adjustments were necessary. TF -1 and EF -7 does not have an impact on the actual building pressure so they are not included on the building balance page within this report. 5. Thermostats and remote sensors. All thermostats and remote sensors are installed in the manager's office. All thermostats are programmed per customer's specification. 6. Kitchen hood smoke capture. All four kitchen hoods are capturing smoke satisfactorily. 7. Conclusion and final comments. The final results of the balance were discussed with Bill. The punch list for this location was emailed to the appropriate contacts. The final building pressure measured at +.006" W.C. Business cards were left onsite for any future questions. These corrections are necessary to comply with the design specifications. Contractor Responsible. 1. Provide approval for model number discrepancy on EF -7. Owner The actual model number on EF -7 does not match the design model number, listed in the Design Prints. EF -7 is scheduled to be a Greenheck unit with model number MCGB -091 -4 and actually installed is a Greenheck unit with model number S- 099- V6 -4 -X. This discrepancy will need to be approved by the appropriate party. 2. Provide approval for model number discrepancy on RTU -1, RTU -2 and RTU -3. Owner The actual model number on RTU -1, RTU -2 and RTU -3 does not match the design model number, listed in the Design Prints. RTU -1 and RTU -3 are scheduled to be Lennox units with model number LGH180H4BS1Y and actually installed are Lennox units with model number LGH180H4BM2Y. RTU -2 is scheduled to be a Lennox unit with model number LGH048H4EM1Y and actually installed is a Lennox unit with model number LGH048H4EH1Y. This discrepancy will need to be approved by the appropriate party. Melink recommends revisiting this store due to the deficiencies listed above. Revisit necessary? No 30 -60 days after opening?
