MAYOR HAUGEN AND CITY COUNCILMEMBERS
May 3, 2004 City Council Work Session
A work session is scheduled for 5:30pm Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Fire Station. A light meal
will be served. Please brinq your draft Capital Improvement Proqram you received last week.
Attached is the work session agenda. Bud Osmundson will begin by reviewing the existing
(2004-2008) Capital Improvement Program for Scott County. He will focus particularly upon
those projects which involve Prior Lake. It is important that we program our projects based
upon the same year as the County and assuming the same funding assumptions.
Ralph will then provide an overview of the financial aspects of the proposed 2005-2009 Capital
Improvement Program. The Council should pay particular attention to the impact which these
projects have upon our key funding sources and especially the Sewer and Water Utility Fund,
Storm Water Utility Fund, Collector Street Fund and Municipal State Aid Fund.
We will then review the key projects proposed for inclusion in the Capital Improvement
Program. We will also address projects which, while important, were excluded.
It would be helpful to receive feedback from the Council regarding the proposed ClP projects.
The Council is scheduled to conduct its public hearing on the CIP on May 17, 2004. That is the
appropriate time for persons to address the Council on projects which they believe should be
included or excluded from the program.
