CONSIDER APPROVAL OF REFUSE HAULER'S PERMIT
FOR EVERGREEN SANITATION

David Weidenfeller of Evergreen Sanitation, 13020 Dem-Con Drive,
Shakopee, MN 55379 has applied for a Refuse Hauler's Permit in
order haul refuse in the City of Prior Lake. Evergreen Sanitation will
be concentrating its business on residential customers. This permit
would be valid from July 1,2004 until June 30, 2005, which is the
licensing period for all refuse haulers.
The Issues
The applicant has provided the City with the required documents for
this permit and has paid the application fee of$175.00 ($125.00 for the
first truck and the $25.00 for each additional truck.) The Prior Lake
Police Department has completed its investigation of Evergreen
Sanitation and has found no reason to deny the permit.
The City Council has the following alternatives:
1. Adopt a motion as part of the consent agenda approving the Refuse
Hauler's Permit for Evergreen Sanitation.
2. Deny the permit request.
Staff recommends Council approve the Refuse Hauler's Permit for
Evergreen Sanitation as part of the consent agenda.
