MINUTES of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Prior Lake in the County of Scott and
State of Minnesota, 'including all accounts audited by 'said` Council
April 29th., 1971
The Common Council of the Village of Prior Lace met In.special sesston.in the office of
the Village. Clerk, Thursday evening, April 29th., 1971 at 7:00 P.M., ,Mayor Stock
called the meeting to order. Present were Mayor Stock, and Councilmen Smith,
SchoMmer, Clemens, and Busse. Absent was Clerk Gentz.
An Inspection tour of the Village will be mode Saturday., May Ist.,' 1971; at WO P.M.
to determine what properties will have to be cleared of nlbbi h, old' care, etc. All
council members able to make the tour were urged to do so.
Motion was made by Clemens to adopt the following price schedule of west materials
at the Prior Lake Dump:
Car $ .75 - $1.25 i
Station Wagon 1.25
Pick -up 2.60- 2.50 '
Pick -up with sides 3.00- ' 4.50
2 wheel Trailer 2.50 ,
4 wheel Trailer 3.50 a
No trucks

The motion wo seconded by Busse, and upon a vote taken, It was duly passed,. �>
Clayton Schoeneckerof the Minnesota Highway Department informed the Village that
the State will ,furnish ,the Clads 5 material but the V11 lose must dig and fill' the kat
boil at 9th: Avenue (Deep -Rock Station) right away 75 feet from the center of the highwayl
The Council discussed various alternatives to be presented to the Minnesota Police
Federation regarding negotiations for salaries and benefits for tho'hiarr LAke Police
Department for the year 1971.
At 8:30 P.M. , the Council met with the Minnesota Police Federation to negotiate
salaries and benefits for the Prior Lake Police Department for the year 197 1. Attorney
Krass submitted the Federation proposal as follows: ;Police Coordinator $800.00 per
month, Patrolman $725.00 per, month, Part time, $3.50 per hour, Full time 60icers to
received nine (9) paid holidays and clothing allowance to be' $125.00 perye.
The Village proposal was for a 4% pay increase, 7 paid holidays for full time patrolmen,
$110.00 per year clothing allowance, and $3.25 per hour for part- time,pgfrolmen.
The counter proposal of the Federation was $790.00 per month for the Police Coordinator,
$725.00 for the Patrolman, 8 paid holidays and $3.25 per hour for part time Man'. The
Villages next.proposal was for 5% increase, $120.00 per year clothing allowance, and
$3.25 per hour for part time policemen. i
The final proposal by the Federation was $ 776.00 for the Police Coordinator., $725.00 .

Villagaw final. proposal was $750.00 for ,the Police Coordinator, $700.00 for the Patrol - a

man, 9' paid holidays and $3.25 per hour for part time patrolman. The Police { Federation
accepted this proposal. s

Motion was made by Schommer that a contract be drawn up between the Village of Prior
