M` The Common Council of the Village of Prior Lake met in regular session December 17th.,
1973 at 8:00 -P.M, in the Village Council Chambers. Mayor Sto ck called the meeting
to order. Roll Call: Present were Mayor Stock, Clerk McGuire, and Councilmen
Busse, Oakes, Watkins, and Patchin.
- Minutes of the previous meetings for the month had been circulated. to each member of
the council several days prior to the meeting. The fol lowing errors' were noted:.

and the following added: Motion was made by Watkins to adverti for bids in the
Prior Lake American for the legal newspaper for 1974, seconded by Stock and upon a
vote taken,! it was duly passed.
Motion was made by Watkins to approve the minutes, as corrected, secanded
by Oakes and upon a vote taken, Itr was duly passed.
Motion was made by Busse to approve the bills previously a pproved by the Finance
Committee, seconded by Oakes and; upon, a vote taken, if was duly passed.
` Motion was made by Patchin authorizing and

the snowmobile ordinance, allowing snowmobiling until 2:00A.M Now Years Day
morning, seconded by Watkins and upon a vote taken, it was duly passed'. j

There was considerable discussion on the i part of Savage that had previously been
detached by the Savage Village Canncfl: 'Councilman Patchin answered questions on
the mill rate;. Councilman Oakes answered questions pertaining to the cost and timing
of water and sewer.

Motion was made by Watkins, seconded; by Patchin to accept the following resolution:
The Village -of Prior` Lake, through its'Viliage Council, hereby resolves:
TFA'Vlllage°Council'of the Village'of Prior Lake is advised that the Village
s Council of Savage has posted a resolution detaching the following described real' estate
from the municipal boundarles of Savage•
"A1`I that land in the Village of Savage, Scott County,
Minnesota, lying Southerly of the Northerly right -of-
way, I ine of Scott County Road. 0 42, and Westerly of the
Easterly r,i htrof -way line of Minnesota State Trunk

The Village :,of Prior' Lake, being advised that the Village of Savage has detached
sold property hereby agrees o annexation of said property to the Vil lage of Prior Lake,:
pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota` Statute' 414.061..:. Upon a vote taken, the
motion was passed.
Motion was made by Patchin to accept the pal Ice report, as submitted, seconded by
Busse and upon a vote taken, it was duly passed.

There. was a dlscussion on the extension of Pleasant Avenue. Harold .lsroeison presented ,
the lima
pre nary cost estimates. Mayor Stock recommended that Councilman Watkins ,
contact the Property owners in the area for their input..
' Motion was made by Patchin to accept, with regrets, Henry D. S,chrader's letter of
resignation from the Prior Lake Police Commission, seconded by Watkins and upon; a
w vote taken, it was=_Wly passed. Motion was made by Watkins to have Mr. Schrader stay on as a consultant to the
Police canttttlssion, seconded by Patchin and upon a vote taken, it was duly passed.

Andrews Rexall Drug, Viking Liquor, Brooksville Super Market, Thorkeison Drug,'- 'Prior
House, Inc; Paul Bunyun Store, Pepper's Pizza, 'Deep Rock Station, Anchor Inn, Schra jen
Resort, Color Bar, and Green Heights Resort. Upon a vote taken, It was duly passed.
Motion ,was'made by Watkins directing the village clerk to apply for Federal Flood

Motion was made by Oakes to write off the bad check received from Irving Randale in the
amount of $2.00, seconded by Watkins and upon a vote ta.4ien, it was duly, passed.
Motion was made by Patchin to, remove the following uncollectable rescue call bills from 4
x the books: Merle Karli - ;2'5.00; Ron Bartels - $25.00; John Bergron - =50,00 Ray Ploaa -+
:35.00. The motion was seconded by Busse and upon a vote taken, it was duly passed.
F Motion was made by Watkins to write off the uncollectable water and sewer bill of Harold
Cox in the amount of $65.19, seconded by Busse, and upon a vote taken, It was duly passed.
` Motion was made by Watkins` to appoint Michael McGuire as the acting fuel coordinator,

Motion was made by Patchin to adopt Ordinance #73 - 20, an ordinance relating to live
stack running at large, - seconded by Watkins and upon a vote taken, [twos duly passed:

Motion was made by Watkins to take an option in the amount of $300.00 on the Ralph
