January 23, 1975 .;, � The Common Council of the City of Prior Lake met in Special Session in the City ., Council_ Chambers, Januar y 23, 1975 at 7:40 P.M. Present were Mayor Stock, Councilmen Busse, Watkins and Williams, Administrator McGuire, and Administrative ' Assistant Sullivan. Councilman Bakes was absent. The purpose of the meeting was to hold a Pubis informational Session on the progress of the Prior Lake Sewer Interceptor by the Metropolitan Waste. Control Commission. Mayor Stock turned the meetinj over to Mr. Klaus Foerster of the Metropolitan Waste Control 'Commission and Mr. David Husby "of Rieke - Carroll - Muller. Mr. Foerster described the routing of the interceptor: ` Mayor Stock stated the interceptor shou d be extended to the treatment plant alon CSAH 12 because people on Highwcy 12 have already been assessed for a line. - Mr. Foetster gave approximate costs for the extension of the interceptor line :along 3 Highway 12 as $20,000.00 to run a force main or $17,000.00 to run a gravity flow. Mayor Stock "asked when bids would be let. Mr. <Foerster replied•he was hopeful bids would be let in February, opened in- March, oonstruction to begin inApril, with the a' final completion in the fall of 1976. !� ' Mayor Stock asked if all areas within the City of Prior lake waul&be abje to connect to the intercepter. Mr— Foerster replied desigm6d areas would be abie °to connect to the interceptor. This will be based on joint input of the City, Metro Council,-arid Commission. Councilman Busse asked if the CSAH' 21 bridge would remain open. Mr. Husby replied the interceptor;would be far enough away so that the bridge would not'b6aly mmain open but mope bridge expansion would -not interfere with the prtiiiii .. However, there would" W times when CSAH 21 woufdzL closed during construction. " There being no further questions, a motion was made by Williams and seconded by Watkins to adjourn the Public Informational Session at -9.00 P.M. So moved. Michael A. McGuire, Administrator r V
