Present were Mayor Stock, Councilmen Bissonett, Busse, Hafermann, and Watkins, City Manager McGuire, City Engineer Anderson and Attorney Hicks, The minutes'of the March 20, 1978 meeting were reviewed:. MINUTES Motion was made by Watkins to approve the minutes of March 20, 1978 as presented,.seconded by Busse and upon a vote taken it was duly passed. DOG CATCHER The first item on the agenda Miss the consideration of the dog catcher AGREEMENT agreement. City'Manager McGuire stated that the agreement remains; ; the same as previous years except that Mr. McAllister requests a $2S /month increase, changing it from $18S /month to $210 /month. Mayor Stock tabled the dog catcher agreement for a future meeting and in the meantime directed the City Manager to contact. Mr.,,McAllister t ' and request that he appear before the Council and prepare. -his for �,. the following questions: 11 the amount of the time he spends in-, Pr Lake; 2) justification for the request of the increase; 3) possibility of improving communications with ='the City; 4) setting aside a time for spending ;a certain number of hours or days °to work specifically in Prior Lake. t PLAN. City Engineer Anderson � FIIO tated that the City was currently planning on purchasing a truck and: , road patrol,: thereby making the FWD no longer needed. Motion Was ride by Watkins to advertise for bids for the sale of the j FWD in the Prior Lake American and the Minneapolis Tribune,. withhthe option to deduct the box and the plow, seconded by Hafermann`.and upon a _vote taken it was duly; „ Bids will be opened on April 19th at 10aa. q y Y � so reported on the road patrol. : _ he looked at ROAR PATROL 'Cit En Anderson al over the weekend. He stated that it was in good shape and that the asking price of $8000.00 was reasonable. , Motion was made by Bissonett to purchase the road patrol for the awount s 1 of,$8000.00, seconded by Watkins and vote taken it was duly, passed. 50' R -O-M The next item the Council considered wasi purchasing land `from:Al. Steiner AL STEINER for road, purposes. City Manager McGuire met with.Mr. Ste�ner and recommended that the City purchase the SO'1rght of way for $3000.00 contingent that no assesswents..be levied on lots 17 and 19 for Sanitary sewer,.,watermain and paving. Mr. Mary Eggua stated he mould pay for f the sanitary setter,, watermain and paving. WORKMAN COMP Attorney Hicks reported on the status of the Workman's Compensation POLICE RE policy. He reported that the Insurance Company requires a resolution SERVE or ordinance be passed by the Council to cover all the elected -and . appointed officials of a municipality., Mayor Stock directed the City Attorney to draft an ordinance relating to Workmans Compensation for appointed and elected officials.
