w The Common Council of the City of Prior Lake met in regular session.on
October 2, 1978 at 7:3OPM. _Present were Mayor Stock, Councilmen Bissonett,,
Busse and Hafermann, City Manager McGuire, City Engineer Anderson, and
Attorney Sullivan, Councilman Watkins was absent,
Ttie Council reviewed the minutes of September 2S, 1978, Page 1, paragraph 7,
line 3 should read, ", ,the patio roof and archway in the-.,. ". Line S
should read, "...put on a patio roof and archway. That patio roof extended..'
MINUTES Motion was made by Bissonett to approve the minutes of September 25, 1978
as amended, seconded by Busse and upon a vote taken it was duly passed.
MARLEN CIRCLI City Engineer Anderson reported on the Marlen Circle request. A number
of residents on Marlen Circle petitioned (which is on file in the city
offices) the City of Prior Lake to make Marlen Circle a public roadway.
After a lengthy .discussion it.was decided to set up a date at which
the residents of Marlen Circle may meet with City Officials to discuss
this request in.more detail,,
ESTATE DRIVE The next item was the storm sewer on Estate Drive, Mr, Ken Haider of
OSM conducted a field inspection of the culvert to determine the adequacy
Of the stormsewer.in question. He stated that no changes were recomended
except the installation of field stone to control erosion at the culvert
outlet. =
JIM MASON Mr. Jim Mason was present, strongly c►pposing the City ►s findings.
EASEMENT Mr. Norm Farmer was present also.
Motion was made by Busse to authorize the City Engineer to- place, a curb
in the area of Estate Drive and that4ach homeowner be contacted to "I
what his wishes are concerning the curb height, seconded by Mayor`
Stock and upon a vote taken it was duly passed.,
SUNSET HILLS Mr. Gary Eastland and Mr, Ron Swanson were present for the Hardshell
approval of Sunset Hills.
Motion was made by Busse to approve the Sunset Hills Hardshell contin$ent
upon the details of the developers agreement be worked
Bissonett and upon.a vote taken it was duly passed, out, seconded by
GRAINWOOD A petition from the Grainwood Circle'residents was received requesting
CIRCLE that the street width be reduced from 30' to 24 Mr. Ben Baer along
with a few residents were present for this.
After:dscussion it was decided to keep the 30! width road but to post,
no RmLikiug signs along certain areas of that road.
Motion was made by Bissonett to authorize that no parking signs be
posted from, loo t

BIT. WALKWAY .A petition was received from the residents. It was stated that when the
sewer was put in, the bituminous was not replaced but sod was put in.
Notion was made <by`Hafe to replace the 10+ width walkway with
bituminous,and that the'City of Prior Lake takes no responsibility in the
