Present were Mayor Stock, Councilmen Bissonett, 11 1 Busse, Hafermann and Watkins, city Manager McGuire, City Engineer. Anderson., and Attorney Sullivan. ' The following Correction was made to the Minutes of October 2, 1978: Page one, paragraph :ourteen, the last sentence should read 'vit was stated that when the sewer was put in, the bituminous was not replaced but sod' was to be put in. MINUTES Notion was made by'Busse to adopt the Minutes of October 2, 1978 as amended, seconded by Hafermann.and upon a vote taken it was duly passed. 1978 CONST,RUC Mr. Ken Haider of OSM gave a project report on all 1978 construction. Nr, Eugene Simpkins and Mr, Doug Farrell were present as the developers of the Property Mayor Stock proposed that the escrow account be closed and the $2,602.39 be applied to the North Shore Oaks park. Both parties were in agreement with this. ELECTION Motion was made by Watkins to appoint the (following election judges and. JUDGES t counters for Ward #2 and authorize the Election Clerk Judy Jepsen to appoint COUNTERS other judges and counters on the Council's behalf: Sue Cooke, Donna Story, Arlene C. Cates, Margaret O'Keefe, Dorothy Hess, Lenore Brantl, John Gutzmer, Willian Peltzman, Alice.Mueller, Millie Klingberg, Gertrude` Sylvester, Mathilda Schmitz, Beverly Abrahamson, Bill Bissonett, Bill Mangan, Irene Mangan, and Geri Anderson, seconded by Busse and upon -a vote taken it was duly passed, .r r �� .. . . C. Appel, Anita Hager, Nancy Nordeen,,Ed Sp!eiker, Mary Kay Olexa Katherine Spelker, Dana Hesser, Don Busse, Tom Watkins, Wally Stock, Michael McGuire, Nellie Lannon Marlis Bluedorn, Clare Miielcen;- Marcie' Williams, Leonard Tupa, Lael Muelken, and Judy- Schefers, Seconded, by Bissonett and upon a vote taken it was duly passed„ APPOINTMENTS CF PLAN. COMM. Motion was made by Watkins to table the appointments of Planning Commissioners, seconded by Bissonett and upon a votetaken it was duly passed. EXIENSIONAYE. City Engineer Anderson reported on the MN /DOT permit for Pleasant Street extension, The Council reviewed and discussed this matter. Notion was made by Bissonett that the extension of Pleasant Street be approved as proposed by ti�`drawing presented showing the proposed raised island at Pleasant Street that would allow, only a right turn situation from Pleasan`t'Street on to southbound Highway 13 and a right turn to Pleasant Street from southbound Highway 13, that no turns be allowed off northbound, contingent , that the highway right -6f- way be used as the roadbed for the extension of Walker Avenue, that the current access from the dairy store be eliminated, and the preface to this recognizing that this is not a as the Council originally agreed to on the concept of Pleasant Street but the Council recognizes its ' ' validity, seconded by Watkins and upon a vote taken it was duly passed. Councilmen Bissonett, Hafermann and Watkins voted in.favor of the motion and Mayor Stock voted against the ' motion, STREET LIGHTS AT 1NGUADONA City Manager McGuire presented a letter received October 5, 1978 from BEACH CIRCLE William- Brastad, Chairman, Property Owners of Inguadona, Inc, request-. - ing street lights for Council P;ERSN 1 NG ST'. - review and discussion. Notion was made by Bissonett to authorize , a street light at the inter - section of Pershing Street and Inguadona Beach.Circle,a public roadway and the other light requested denied because it is on ,a private roadway; seconded by Busse and upon a'vote taken it was duly passed. A`letter from Leo T. Foley, Minnesota State Highway Patrol to Chief Dick Powell dated October 2, 1978 was presented iwformational i purposes.
