The Common Council of the City of Prior Lake met in regular session on Monday,
January 28 1980 at 7:30 PM. Present were Mayor Stock, Councilmen Bissone t<
Busse, Thorkelson, Watkins, City Manager McGuire, Finance Director Teichner,
City Engineer Anderson and City Attorney Sullivan,

Mayor Stock called the meeting to order. The minutes of January 21, 1980
were reviewed.

PRIOR LAKE
Skip Reebie from the Prior Lake Chambet "of Commerce was present to inv1te
SNOW DAYS
the Council, City Staff and Residents of Prior 'Lake to the annual Snow Days
celebration held on February 1;- 3,'1980. Mr. Reebie also thanked the City

Staff for all the help they gave the Chamber in preparing for Snow Days.
RESOLUTION
Motion by Bissonett to adopt Resolution( that February °3, 1980 be

officially declared Prior Lake Snow Days and the Prior Lake City Council
endorses the activity of the Prior :Lake Chamber of Commerce „seconded by
Watkins and upon a vote taken it was duly passed.

IORTHWOOD
The assessments on Northwood Ridges were once again discussed by the Council

ASSESSMENTS
Motion by Busse to reaffirm the previous assessment that was placed on the

property, Northwood Ridges, on September 5, 1978 on the basis that the pro -

perty in quesfion had received preliminary Council approval for platting on
August 14, 1978 and the land in question was residential and based on the
Council's policy, that the same rules and regulations be followed as in
similar assessments,.seconded by Watkins and.upon a vote taken it was duly
passed:
TURN LANES
City Englineer Anderson reviewed the improvement plans for Highway 13. Mn /Dot
HIGHWAY _13
is requesting approval of Resolution 80 -2 for the turn lanes between Candy
Cove Trail and CSAH 42., Mn /Dot's proposal includes the closing of Ridgemount
area and relocation of the access to the businesses at the intersection.

Motion by Thorkelson to tentatively set a public informational..meeti,ng,on

Monday, February 11,. 1980 at 8:30 PM for discussing signalization at Trunk_
Highway 13 and 160th Street. The neighborhoods of Condons, Red Oaks, Breezy
Point and others in that areas as well as the Prior Lake business district, be,

notified of this meeting and a. member or members of Mn /Dot be requested to
join this meeting to help the "Council answer questions on signalization,
seconded by Watkins and upon a vote taken it was duly passed. (An updated
traffic count"should also be available at this meeting.)
REVENUE BOND
The recommendations of the revenue bond committee were reviewed.

an impact upon existing businesses.
